Nursing
We offer an Associate of Science degree with a major in Nursing, conferred by Regis College of Weston, Massachusetts.
Required courses
Before you can apply, you must have completed algebra*, biology and chemistry courses either at the high school or college level, achieving a final grade of C or better.
*If you are an LPN, algebra IS required but not biology and chemistry.
Required tests
Before you can apply, you must have taken the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS):
- Your score is good for one year.
- We do not require a minimum score.
The Nursing program requires you take
- four (4) clinical nursing courses with classroom component
- one (1) nursing classroom course without a clinical component
- nine (9) non-nursing courses, two (2) of which must be through Regis College for your degree to be conferred by Regis College.
LMRC offers two program schedules you can choose from when you apply:
- Day Division: Classes and clinical experiences are held on selected weekdays.
- Evening/Weekend Division:
- Classes are held on selected evenings during the week, beginning at 5pm.
- Clinical experiences occur every other weekend: Friday (some), Saturday and Sunday.
Classes are held at the Lawrence Memorial/Regis College campus in Medford, Massachusetts.
Clinical experiences occur at various Boston-area hospitals and healthcare facilities.

LMRC accepts scores from these English proficiency tests, provided test taken with two years of applying: TOEFL; IELTS; PTE Academic; and CELBAN
Yes! Accepted students may transfer up to seven (7) equivalent non-nursing courses they passed at another accredited college. Some rules apply.
Yes! LMRC’s Nursing Program maintains full approval status from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (BORN) and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
If accepted, you can elect to start in August or January. Depending on which pre-requisites you have already met and/or how many credits from previous college courses transfer, you are accepted either into Non-nursing (so you can complete pre-requisites) or Nursing.
Switching divisions prior to starting with LMRC depends on space available. Once accepted and you find yourself in this circumstance, email the Admissions Coordinator with your request.
Yes. If you take and pass a theory exam and a clinical-skills assessment, you are approved to bypass NU-101 and start in NU-102.
We are fully in-person for both classes and clinical.
As you progress through the four semesters of nursing courses, the number of credits you carry increases which translates into more challenging content and more hours of study and preparation. What you experience for amount of challenge and effort your first semester increases incrementally the following three semesters.
Attending nursing school should be considered similar to taking on a second job that requires you to invest a substantial amount of time daily, constantly learn new things and consistently be able to show increasing competency every week through quizzes, exams and clinical experiences.
We teach nursing via a patient-centered model, as every person has the right to comprehensive, compassionate healthcare. We teach not only the science of nursing but also convey the “art” of caring, as caring is central to nursing.
Nursing is a process over time and health is a dynamic state of being. Given both, our curriculum integrates critical thinking skills in all nursing courses, to help you develop the intellect, skills and confidence needed to adapt as a professional nurse attending patients on your unit.
Yes, absolutely. Once you pass your second semester Nursing course (102) you can reach out to the LMRC Registrar to find out how to start pursuing your BSN while finishing your ADN. You can also earn your Master’s Degree in Nursing and continue on for your Doctorate of Nursing Practice at our education partner Regis College.
Radiography
We offer an Associate of Science degree with a major in Radiography, conferred by Regis College of Weston, Massachusetts.
Required courses: Before you can apply, you must have completed algebra and two (2) lab science courses either at the high school or college level, achieving a final grade of C or better.
The Radiography program requires you take a certain number of
- classroom courses with clinical experiences/labs
- clinical experiences
- non-radiography courses, two (2) of which must be through Regis College
For Year I Radiography students, classes and clinical experiences are held Tuesday – Friday full- time during the day. For Year II Radiography students, classes and clinical experiences are held Monday – Friday, also full-time during the day.
Classes are held at the Lawrence Memorial/Regis College campus in Medford, Massachusetts.

If accepted, you start in late August. Depending on which pre-requisites you have already met and/or how many credits from previous college courses transfer, you are accepted either into non-radiography (so you can complete pre-requisites) or Radiography.
We are fully in-person for both classes and clinical.
Attending radiography school should be considered similar to taking on a second job that requires you constantly learn something new every day and be able to show competency in what you’ve learned every week.
To that end, it’s up to each individual to assess for themselves their school-work-life balance.
Regis College offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging to which you can apply during your second year in LMRC’s Radiography program, if you’d like to continue on right away!
