If you had a learning accommodation — such as an IEP or a 504 — in secondary school or a post-secondary institution, and that accommodation helped you succeed academically, you are eligible to submit a request for learning accommodations at LMRC.
All requests are confidential.
Who can submit a request
You can submit a request for learning accommodations if, in the past, you have received a diagnosis of any of these disabilities:
- ADD/ADHD disability
- A specific learning disability (that is not ADD/ADHD)
- A psychiatric disability
When to submit a request
Ideally, submit your request in the 4 – 6 weeks prior to your first semester at LMRC, as part of your onboarding tasks.
How to submit a request
Step 1: Complete the Learning Accommodations Request Form.
Step 2: Gather all supporting documents. (Per Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American Disability Act of 1990, you are required to submit supporting documents and ensure they are current and not expired.)
Step 3: Submit the request form and all supporting documents to the LMRC name and address on the request form.
Which supporting documents does LMRC need?
Supporting documents needed by LMRC are specific to the disability for which you are requesting a learning accommodation. All documentation submitted to LMRC must be current (not expired).
