The Nancy Cipriano Memorial Trust
After a short life of nineteen years, Nancy Cipriano, a student at the Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing, left us in life, but gave us the memory of a fine young woman who enjoyed her relationships with other students and who demonstrated a caring and concerned attitude toward patients of the Hospital. She brought a genuine interest, a strong motivation and a deep commitment to the profession of nursing. In her application to the School of Nursing, Nancy stated that the qualities she would bring to the nursing profession were “a genuine interest in people and in all aspects of learning”. Nancy Cipriano indeed did bring these qualities while enrolled in the School of Nursing. It is the intent of this trust that others, motivated like Nancy, may have the opportunities that were denied her. In her honor and memory, this trust shall be known as “The Nancy Cipriano Memorial Trust”.
