Policy:Involvement as a student in a medical radiography program means that the student will be exposed to environments, equipment, chemicals and situations, which under the US Occupational Health and Safety Administration (O.S.H.A.) guidelines may constitute potential workplace hazards. In view of this, all students enrolled in the program, as part of their initial Introduction to Radiologic Technology course, will be given instruction on safe practice in such environments/situations, and in safe handling of all potentially hazardous equipment and chemicals. In addition: a. Copies of the MSDS sheets for Lead and for the photo-processor chemistry shall be kept on file in the Medical Radiography lab area. |
