Leave of Absence

Policy

A student may be granted leave of absence for a period not to exceed one year in total.  Medical radiography students must complete the curriculum within three years of the initial enrollment date.

A student who withdraws from a medical radiography course and is not enrolled in any other course is automatically placed on leave of absence.  A student on Academic Probation who shows no signs of improvement by the end of the next semester may be required to take a leave of absence.  The Discipline Committee may require a student to take a leave of absence.

A student, who takes or is placed on a leave of absence and is failing any medical radiography course at the time the leave is granted, will have that course counted as a failure.

A student returning from a leave of absence, who has successfully completed or exempted out of any medical radiography course(s), may be required to validate previous medical radiography knowledge (see Validation Testing policy).
