| Examinations: Medical Radiograpy Courses |
PolicyExaminations/Assessment - Evaluation Mechanisms for each medical radiography course are specified in the course syllabus. Each medical radiography course may have a comprehensive mid-term and final examination covering material presented to date. If a student is absent for an examination / assessment / evaluation and fails to follow the program's attendance policy and procedure, the highest grade the student can achieve is a C+ (78%). A pattern of absenteeism from examinations may result in a disciplinary warning. Testing accommodations will be made only for those students who have an educational plan on file and have shared the plan with appropriate faculty. The weighting of each examination is determined by the faculty teaching the course. The final examination must be passed in order to pass a medical radiography course. The passing grade on the final examination is C+ (78%) in all medical radiography courses. If this grade is not achieved, an alternate final examination may be granted by the course faculty member. Only one alternate final examination will be allowed for each medical radiography course. If the student passes the alternate examination with a C+ (78%) or above, the highest grade that will be recorded for that exam is a C+ (78%) and will be used to calculate the final course grade. If the student fails the alternate exam (second final exam), the student fails the course and the grade submitted to the Registrar will be a grade of F (0.0) for the course. Failure to take examinations by the stipulated time period allotted will result in a failing grade. |
