| Academic Failure |
PolicyA student may fail and repeat only one course within the entire curriculum. A student who withdraws from a course or takes a leave of absence and is failing or on clinical warning at the time of withdrawal will have this course counted as a failure. Withdrawn - failing will be noted on the transcript for the course. A student who fails a course may progress in the curriculum and, at the next offering of that course, repeat the failed course on a space-available basis. If the failed course is prerequisite to another course, it must be passed before the student can take the requisite course. If the failed course is a medical radiography course, validation testing may be required (see Validation Testing Policy). A student who is not enrolled in any course in the curriculum is automatically placed on leave of absence for that period. A student, who fails more than one course or fails the same course twice, whether taken at Lawrence Memorial/Regis College or elsewhere, is administratively withdrawn from the program.
