Admission to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital/Regis College Medical Radiography Program is based on the student’s personal and academic records. All available information is considered, including school record, evidence of academic maturity and independence, scores on standardized tests, extra curricular activities and general contributions to community and school.

The Lawrence Memorial Hospital/Regis College Medical Radiography Program admits academically qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, age, national origin or status as a handicapped person, disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era. Enrollment is contingent upon meeting specific cognitive, sensory, affective and psychomotor performance requirements.

How to Apply

Candidates for the Lawrence Memorial Hospital/Regis College Medical Radiography Program must complete and submit an application with a $50 application fee. The application should be printed out and returned with all required application materials by mail to:

Requirements

Requirements for admission:
  • High school diploma or GED (high school average B; GED scores of at least 450 in the math and science components on the 2002 Series GED.  Those applicants with a GED prior to 2002 must have earned a minimum of 45 in each of the five test areas)
  • SAT scores of 480 critical reading, 440 math, and 480 writing on SATs are preferred (if graduated in the past five years)
  • Algebra and two lab-science courses (high school or college level) with grades of C- (72%) or better
  • College-level Anatomy and Physiology I and II (with labs) with grades of C- (72%) or better
  • Cumulative average of 2.5 in all post-secondary education
  • For international students: a minimum score of 220 and/or essay score of at least 4.0 on the computerized TOEFL or an 83 on the Internet based TOEFL is preferred  (International Students)
  • Submission of a completed application form with application fee and essay
  • Official transcripts from all high schools and colleges attended
  • Employment List or Resume

The program’s Admissions Committee will select successful applicants on a competitive basis. Acceptance to the program is based on a point system, which is derived from a compilation of all of the program’s admissions requirements

The program admits one class once per year, in mid-August. Admissions decisions are made each spring.


Transcripts

In order to process the application all transcripts from all high school(s) and post secondary educational institutions ever attended need to be submitted with your application. Transcripts should be official in sealed envelopes.
